My main scientific interest is on isolation and characterization of enzymes from extremophiles, the study of their catalytic properties and their potential industrial applications. The focus of my actual work is on the characterization of pyruvate dehydrogenase complex (PDH) from microorganisms isolated from sterilization ovens.
